Fish Award

We went to the annual "Fish dinner" for the Anesthesia group Joe works for. It was a family potluck this year and it was a lot of fun. Every year they honor someone from the group with the "Fish" award. It's pretty much the person who is the best team player, someone that will help anyone in need at anytime, goes above and beyond what they are asked to do, and does everything in a positive way.And this year my sweet Joe was honored.

It didn't surprise me though, Joe has always been one of those people who goes above and beyond the call of duty, whether he knows you or not. He's a very smart, organized, easy going person who truly cares about everyone... I thought it was cute when they read some of the great comments people from the group gave him(ones that we even hear at our house) "you know who I'm talking about when they say"It is what it is" and "Go with the Flow"....He always looks at the glass half full, he can find humor in any "rough" situation and he loves life!I'm so proud to be his wife and stand by his side and support him.The boys are lucky to have such an amazing Dad and role model to look up to!

And......He totally ROCKS my world!

This is the Anesthesia group that Joe is apart of.....Truly a great group of people!

Sigh...

*Sigh*.....the boys had their last day of school....It was bitter sweet for me..."Sweet" because I don't have to get up at the butt crack of dawn and rush kids through breakfast, getting dressed, and brushing teeth! "Bitter" because it's the reality that my boys are growing up! Caleb will be in 2ND grade and Braden has one more year of preschool...

We love them so much...It's amazing how different they are and yet so much the same. We are so proud of them and the amazing kids that they are! I know...I know...I can't help but brag!

So here's to another school year complete and a summer of lazy days at the park, swimming at the club, eating Popsicles until our teeth turn blue, and sleeping in (my favorite part) ahead of us!!!
Oooooo...we can't wait!

Sweatshirts on Water Day

Braden had a "water day" at his preschool today! Those poor kids...it was actually overcast and kind of windy...but as they we're shivering and their lips looked a slight shade of blue...they kept on smiling!Braden has had so much fun in preschool and making his "own friends" (because before he would tell me that Caleb's friends were his Friends too, now he tells me he has his own friends !)He really has made some great friends and luckily I like the moms too :)It's been a great experience for everyone!

But right now, I think it might be time for some Hot Chocolate...Brrrr!

Finally...

She's walking...most of the time! At 17 mos, Ash has finally decided to show us her leg muscles! We have been waiting a LONG time! She is a super fast crawler and her poor little knees have the wear and tear to show it.She mastered the stairs pretty much at one year..so we'll let this one pass :) ! She stands almost as tall as Braden which he thinks is silly, and we think it's cute!

So YEAH for ASHBY!!! Shoe shopping here we come!!!

Batter up!

The batter stands on home plate...bases are loaded...a hush comes over the crowd...
He swings...He hits...it's a Home Run...Well...kind of, but didn't that sound good?
Caleb had his last T-ball game of the season and he did FABULOUS! He hit 3 for 3 with coach pitch, which if you could see how "big" the coach is and how "little" the players are you would understand that 3 for 3 is pretty outstanding. Caleb has had so much fun this season and each game he has gotten better and better. It's been so fun going to his games and cheering him on!From the first game being timid of the ball...To hitting almost every pitch and being able to throw to 1st base to get an out!

We are so proud of him. Way to go Caleb and Way to go Red Sox!
And I'll admit...it will be nice to sleep in on Saturday's now!

We are Family!!!

It was a much needed family visit! With life so crazy and every one's super busy schedules it was nice to just be with family and laugh, chat and reminisce about good times! My Grandparents, and my cousin with her husband and new baby came to visit for my sister's (Becca) Graduation and my other sister's (Sarah) birthday! It has been way to long since #1 we've had some sort of recent family picture and #2 laughed till our faces hurt!. I've always thought my family was so fun...and this weekend just proved it! I soooo needed this! We did miss Joe though...(dang being on call!) But don't worry...he may not have been in the pictures, but he was definitely in a few stories! I love my family so much and I love the fact that they don't judge you, they don't criticize you...they just love you!

P.S. Yes Scot......My face does still hurt! But hey I'm funny right! WORD!!!!

Mini-Indy # 252

Today we spent the day at Braden's school and watched him participate in the "Mini-Indy".It was the cutest thing ever...they had mini gas stations, bike repair shops, a car wash and tons of other stops for the kids..Braden had such a blast and it was so cute to watch him with his friends! It was complete chaos at times...(when they had their parade race), and other times it was so sweet to watch them smile and beam when they came around the corner!Way to go Braden!

He has been telling all day that he won...I told him everyone is a winner and it was just fun to participate in the race...he said "okay mom...but I still came in first!"

Priceless....

Caleb had his open house tonight and part of the fun, was going to the Multi purpose room to see all of the kids artwork framed and on display...Caleb was so cute and excited to show us his stencil painting...We thought it came out fabulous!

Funny how the school gets the kids all excited to bring their parents to the open house to show us their artwork on display.Their big eyes beaming and a smile that could melt a room...and as you go to pick it up you notice a sneaky little price tag of 29.95 + tax...Ooohh...the school is good!

So it may be a pricey 1st grade art project...but it is one that we will treasure it forever!

A Wicked Birthday Weekend!!!

Joe surprised me this weekend and took me to San Francisco for the night to celebrate our birthdays and see the show Wicked!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Seriously it was such a fun weekend, we stayed at the Parc 55 hotel right in downtown Union Square, we saw Wicked, we ate fabulous food, we slept in and did lots and lots of shopping! No strollers, no diaper bags, just the two of us...it was so nice to go and spend such a fabulous weekend together...Thanks Nana and papa for watching the kiddos...They had a blast too!

A few of the highlights:

Obviously the show....it was sooooo good!! I mean sooooooooooooooo Good!

Our view from the hotel on the 28th floor "Gorgeous"!(only in S.F. would a hotel provide ear plugs to block out the street noise...Too funny!)

Going to the Mama of all Fabric stores (at least around here!) Britex....It was like a kid being in a candy store...seriously I almost died!!!

Being a able to eat "slowly" at Squat and Gobble and not worry about the sippy cup hitting the floor...

Thanks baby for such a fabulous weekend....I love you more than you know!
